Ruth connects with people who have loved, lost love and remembered love, sung with passion and sometimes pain, played beautifully on acoustic guitar and piano. Face Tomorrow emotionally moves me to tears having lost my Dad recently, and anyone who's lost close Family will be moved. Haunted made me think of my Ex-Wife and Desperate Times brought thoughts of my late Mum. Ruth shares her emotions in song and her playing and in doing so immerses her audience. The piano on the final track is simply sublime, one of the best piano compositions I've ever heard. The whole Album is - Wonderful.

" Heartland " the perfect title for songs that are truly from the heart... Songs from deep within the writer.. This long awaited cd was way beyond my expectations. The whole album is sublime, a true work of art.... It is beauty to the extreme, in its entirety..I cannot praise the album enough..
All of the tracks that follow each other, work so well in their chosen sequence, but especially the final three tracks, Heartland, Lament and the final track Calm Before the Storm... These must be heard...

Full of expectations, as I had enjoyed each and everyone of Ruth's previous releases, I downloaded the digital files in the package. I love the whole album. Ruths ethereal vocals make the tracks seem so personal, it is impossible not to be drawn into the stories narrated in the wonderful lyrics and beautiful melodies. The album is a real treasure.

'Somehow' is an album filled with emotions, played and sung in a way you may be familiar with from artists such as Joni Mitchell, Carole King or even Sandy Denny but Ruth Nina Welsh is a unique artist with her own voice and style of playing, Ruth conveys emotion you can feel as well as hear. 10/10.
Track-wise Ruth's piano and acoustic guitar playing are what I call clean/clear and her vocals are beautiful. The title track and 'No Tears Left To Fall' are 2 of my favourite tracks ever by a Female Singer-Songwriter.The closing track Home [Piano Solo] i describe as Solemnity and Emotionality, again this is one of my favourite piano pieces of all time and I've heard hundreds. Also the deluxe package is wonderful, Art Cards are all hand signed by Ruth and the fridge magnets stay firmly on and a lovely inspirational message card from 'Hope Is Alive' with a personal message from Ruth make it really special, there is more of a connection with the artist. I would also say that listening on a Hi-Fi System is far superior to computer hearing and especially on headphones, 'Somehow' - I Loved/Love it.

Been listening to this album on night runs for a while and I love it. Take Care is especially poignant. This latest, hopefully not the last, album is excellent for those times when you are a bit stressed. Let this album take you to a peaceful place. Take care, Bob💖😏🚛🏍

For me this album as a collective is Ruth Nina Welsh at her very best...There are few albums made where one loves every track.This is one of them..Yes I do have my favourites... The album I describe as thoughtful, reflective and as a result of production it is sublime... Like Joni Mitchell's Blue, it is songs with depth,that can only ever be reached by experience... I recommend this to all who love music the kind that quietly reaches down into the soul...This album certainly achieves this... It's a ten out of ten for me, and will be treasured just like Mitchell's Blue..

Loved Ruth's previous work and so had no worry about pre-ordering this package. I was immediately blown away by some of the songs but as is usual with much meaningful music, the rest slowly grew on me after just a few plays and now they are giving me so much pleasue as I listen, it is an album which richly repays gettiing to know the music intimately. Ruths songs are woven with true professionalism; being sung with so much feeling and emotional content.
The package of goodies and photographic memorabillia are a real bonus for any fan of this wonderful singer songwwriter.

Amazed at the creative ideas of merchandise & the notelets are such a treat! Inspirational artwork which just adds to the atmospheric music. Blown away by the quality & effect of the portraits which are so sublime. I will be purchasing more for sure. Great idea for communicating to someone or just as a gift.

Having known about Ruth's music for a year, I had loved her beautiful 'Introducing Ruth Nina Welsh' EP. This CD takes her music to further heights. Her pure, emotional voice has a special beautiful tone and her range is exceptional. Her story is one of inspiration, motivation and a timely (Covid experience for many) concentrate on what you can do. She has such an exceptional passion for music and this is so evident in her songs. Each song is part of her story-telling gift and all have wonderful backstories. My personal favorites (I love them all so very much) are, 'Only With You', As I Breathe', 'In the Light Of Faith', Pale Moonlight' and'Take Me Dancing'. Each purchase comes with a download booklet containing information and all the lyrics. Ruth communicates so well with her many fans & I'm sure that many people's lives will be changed so positively as mine has. Cannot recommend this CD highly enough and so grateful to have found her Beautiful Music!

A beautiful CD soul searching music and what an amazing voice

The full package was opened on arrival...It was beautifully put together and could not be improved. Sheer class of presentation... Every item a treasure... The cd case is gorgeous, befitting the music contained...The album is a must here for those who like good music, with powerful human and touching lyrics...

Couldn't wait to open the package when it arrived in the post, but the music was all that was promised by the single releases (streamed), wonderful vocals from Ruth and so much emotion in the lyrics. I just sat back, closed my eyes and listened right thru all 14 tracks. This album has a special place in my collection. The art work on this re-released album is so vibrant and colourful but endorses the quality of the music. It was a real bonus to have a PDF booklet with the lyrics of all the songs and the artwork from the album.
